As the name defines, this device is used to retain the temperature. CPU and its components while working produce heat in the system. And the CPU unit can bear a certain amount of heat. To retain the permissible operating temperature of the CPU, coolers are attached to the CPU case. It sits in the heart of the pc to draw out heat from the CPU chips and other processors.

CPU coolers use the air and water method to achieve the cooling results. Both serve the same purpose and operate on similar principles. The heat produced by components is transferred to the CPU lid and then to its baseplate. At this point cooler draws the heat out of the system and retains its temperature.
